Moving south and then East across what's referred to here as Alligator Alley. We unfortunately did see what happens here on the highway....when alligator meets car...and you know when that happens because you will see dozens and dozen of vultures and they will take care of just about everything...

We were lucky enough to stop at the Wayside Area and "man oh man" did we see gators!!! (we did leave Gracie in the truck by the way)...

This creek area is just filled with fish...which would explain the abundance of gators....they were all just lazing around....not doing much...I assume they ate in the morning...

While we were taking pictures I kinda realize that as we are looking in the water it really doesn't mean there aren't any coming up the creek bed....we forget that they are all over the place and could be anywhere.

We did see this big bad guy!!!

Just love these trees....
they will wrap themselves around palm trees or really any tree and claim it as their roots...

Today we drove clear across the southern tip of Florida into Miami.  We had heard that the growth in this area has brought about major road construction...

And after much traffic....George once again calm....me........not calm...we arrived at our campsite.
Larry & Penny Thompson Memorial Park and Campground...45 minutes outside of Miami.  It has 240 sites surrounded by a 275 acre public park of preserved woodlands.....and because it's off season here...it's only about 1/4 full....which makes it like a State Park...nice.  And they have great laundry throughout the park. Always love that.
