Good news....the rain hasn't started yet....it's cloudy...but that's okay. The Weather Network shows rain for the next few weeks....no matter which way we go....the rain is going to get us.
And when your car gets faded from the sun....why not just paint yourself a sun...and a garden...
George and Joe met this lady and her puppy the day before and wanted me to see it. The lady was nice enough that when she saw us walk by she brought the puppy out for us to see because she knows the guys like the puppy.
She just loves her puppy...like we all love our dogs....she said the puppy is a "Gator mouth Pitpull" crossed with a Mastiff....at 3 months old she can barely walk it because it is so so strong!!!! The puppy is adorable but I still cannot bring myself to pet it ....they just terrify me...
Joe had a few free loaders this morning....
Inmates at work again...or not working!
This area is very much about the front porch and rocking chair ....
And oh these trees....
these trees....
these amazing trees...
And the cutest little basset hound ever...she's only 3 months old!
St.Simons Lighthouse and Visitor Centre
My time as a tree hugger!
She is a tree spirit on the Island.
She is a tree spirit on the Island.
The air smells so nice here...it's a mixture of the sweetness from the flowers
and the saltiness of the ocean....
and the saltiness of the ocean....
This Pelican was a real wise ass....fishermen were giving him small fish heads...
and he wanted no part of them...he wanted whole fish....nothing else would do for him.
As soon as he thought this guy caught a fish....
he waddled over closer to him to see what he was about to get to eat!

At the Sea Island Golf Course there is the Avenue of the Oaks. They are a double row of oak trees planted in 1826....today they are said to be over 160 years old.
The rain was beginning but we thought we would check out the Fort Frederica National Monument....we started to walk out to see the fort....and the further we went....the more biting bugs we encountered.....this is George and Joe fighting off the bugs...before we ran to the truck...
..this is about all we saw from the zoom lense...while running and swatting bugs!
The entire Island has these amazing tree lined roads...
And this is probably the craziest bridge we have been across yet!
So the RV park we are in has several permanent tenants.....some pretty decent RV's...
some that look like this....but the place is clean....nobody drives fast through the park (which we have encountered at many nice parks) and there is no dog waste anywhere....it's an old place...nothing has been upgraded for many years.......but I guess this is their home...
...they are all friendly.......we feel safe enough here...
I think Tony from Galveston Texas made us realize many of these people have lost so much and this is really what they have....it doesn't make them bad....it just is...it's their home...good or bad or indifferent....

You can see the love in her eyes for her baby!!!
