Slow day today....doing some catch-up and taking care of a few things....really late get up and go.

Did finally make it into Galveston but pretty late in the day.  Made it down in time to see a cruise ship leave the area....they are so darn big it's crazy!!!

We did drive through the Historic Downtown, already pretty late and really quiet so didn't even get my own pics...but was beautiful.  Lots of construction and revitalization going on in the area. This part of town seems to be kept alive by the Cruise Ship traffic.

The boardwalk area was pretty quiet by the time we got there, I think maybe it being a Monday had something to do with it.

Had some great Fish and Chips (must be America because one order has 5 large pieces of fish!!! That's a Family Pack back home!! )

Thankfully our Waitress told us that before I ordered one for myself...I was lucky to enjoy two great little Fish Sliders and of course shared some of George's Family Plate.

    That's it?? Two pictures, I like to look at the pictures and read your blog while I have my morning coffee. Two pictures really, I didn't even pick up my coffee cup. This has just thrown my morning right off the tracks. Okay, now that I have had a sip of coffee, I am starting to realize that you are on vacation and that I shouldn't be critical of your "mini blog". And now that the sun has come out and it is warming up to 18C this weekend I am starting to feel better. My onions are reaching towards the sky and the cilantro, carrots and lettuce are looking good in the cold frame. Jackson still stares at your gate every morning looking for his girl. He even got a new doo, Shari says it looks like a bowl cut. I think it looks cute and he likes it. Well tell George to wash down those family meal plates with a couple of good old american beers. Hey if you are down by the beach and there are some girls running around in bikinis, maybe you could snap a couple pics. (Smiley Face)

      OMG Cal you are too funny....i know...it was an uneventful day...maybe I should have posted someone elses pics that day :) I will try better next time

It's been windy for quite some time....like weeks...this morning it's pretty calm...but they are calling for more wind in the afternoon..... Decided to ride our bikes into St. George and check it out...really small casual little beach city... More white sandy beaches....this time with lots of shells...spent a good hour shell hunting... We saw lots of crab holes in the ground...apparently they are called "ghost crabs" and they only come out at night and they are almost transparent.. I was so excited when I spotted this shell.....but somebody was inside... and this baby crab on the outside!!! Today is the day....we must leave New York....it`s been great... it`s been expensive....and it`s time to go... Gracie may have wanted to visit this place...but no Dog Spa for her... Today is also the day we will part paths with Brother Joe...we will head West....because we must....he will have another direction...we will miss him....has been a great time travelling with him. It took us almost an hour to wind our way out of Jersey City...it was raining...and I swear Roxanne had us going in circles....there was detour after detour...and some ridiculously narrow streets.....but we made it......we had no idea where we were...the skies were grey and dismal and we just seemed to be going around and around..... And then this crazy horrible sign appeared...WTF....WEST!!! What is that!!!! It wasn`t long before we left the busy streets for rolling hill of trees...it is just so green and so hilly.... I love this one...it`s the first we have ever seen...... ...

It's a pretty fitting day to leave the beach...it's raining....it's still warm...but it's still raining.... Taking a ferry today instead of dealing with the traffic...won't take any time off our trip...but will take the miles off our trip...cost wise...not too sure...but if it can eliminate a few hours on the road in the city...it's worth it. This bird decided to build a nest in the busiest place ever!!! Right at the Ferry Terminal... And all along the way....Dophins.....Yay!! I will never tire of seeing them playing in the water! So before long we are on the New Jersey Turnpike.... which just means .....toll....after toll.....after toll.... and you have no idea which lane you are supposed to be in... Nightmare! Marty!!!.... You will love this....... You know all those American dimes and nickels I was saving.... Finally had a chance to use them.... Oh the look on his face when I gave him $6.00 in dimes and nickels!!!
