Early morning today, up by 7:00 on the road by 8:30....we have about 330 miles to drive...6 hours by GPS....turns out to be 9 1/2 hours by RV.

Followed the coastline for about a third of the drive...very remote areas...lots and lots of fishing..

This guy looked like he was walking on water...

nope...just wadded way way out to fish.....

Left the pristine white beaches for the mangroves and marinas that the fisherman love...

Another thing we love about the USA....they make their inmates WORK....
collecting trash at the side of the roads!!! FULL-ON STRIPES!!! Gotta love it..

Once we headed inland...we thought the drive would be pretty uneventful...but oh the flowers!!! At first we thought they were totally wild...but after a while...when we started to see patterns on the colours....man helped a little with this one...but so pretty to see...

After many many miles of traffic heading into the Tampa/St. Petersburg area...(We should have listened to "Roxanne" ...the GPS) when she kept wanting us to get on an Interstate 75 instead of the highway we were on....brutal...but we made it and we finally found the water again....

And one last bridge of the day...only our second toll of the trip....
they call it the "Sunshine Skyway"  ...it is the world's longest cable-stayed concrete bridge...
