Between the different time zone now....2 hours ahead of home time....and the fact that we are on holidays.....the late get-ups are becoming more frequent.....today was one of those days...
Awoke to cloudy Texas skies....which apparently may change several times in a day....so we hope...
So...laundry....drive into town to look for a Barber....only to find out so many small places are closed Sunday and Monday here....so no haircut for George.
Couple of signs at the campsite that made us chuckle...
And just as they said...the clouds parted early afternoon and the blue skies appeared..and we just happened to be down at the Amistad National Recreation Area taking Gracie for her first swim in so so so long...
......and as usual....Border Patrol ....this time someone is training on how to operate the boat.
We also hadn't seen many cactus in bloom on our travels...until now!
And what Gracie has been dreaming of for 2 whole long weeks....riding in the back seat of the truck!!!
Drove closer to the border to where the Amistad Dam is located. This Dam is operated and maintained jointly by the USA and Mexico and when boating in the Amistad Reservoir so you really need to know where you are as the international boundary is split in the middle of the reservoir.
End of another day on Holidays....aaahhhhh!
